How many rubber flooring rolls do you need?
Rolls are 4 ft wide, so the room width sets the number of strips. The direction you run them, and where the cuts land, decide how many rolls you actually pay for.

How many rolls do I need?
Divide the room width by 4 ft to get the number of strips, then multiply by the run length to get linear feet. That's only a starting point. Rolls come in fixed lengths, so the direction you run them and where the cuts land decide how many rolls you actually buy. Send us your floor plan and we'll lay it out for the least waste with the fewest seams.
How are aktiv rolls installed?
It depends on the application. Rolls can be loose lay, seam tape or full adhesive, depending on the application. We recommend the right method for your project as part of the quote, based on your room, subfloor and how the space will be used.
Will I have seams?
Yes, every 4 ft wide strip meets the next one along a long seam. Our layouts keep all the long seams running the same direction and avoid end-to-end butt seams where we can. When a butt seam can't be avoided, we stagger them so no two line up.

How are rolls delivered?

Rolls or interlocking tiles: which should I choose?
Rolls cover large open areas with the fewest seams. Interlocking tiles lay without glue and can be lifted, moved and reused, which suits smaller rooms, phased projects and spaces that may change. Both use the same REGUPOL rubber at 3/8" (9 mm).
